An Investment in You

If you’re capable of succeeding in a rigorous academic environment and are interested in Ohio Wesleyan, you should know that more than 95 percent of OWU students receive grants or scholarships from the University. More than two-thirds of our students receive assistance based on need. The average total aid package for families who file a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is more than $25,000.

When you make a campus visit, be sure to include the Financial Aid Office. Our financial aid professionals are available to help you and your parents explore your financial aid options. We’re here to help you achieve your educational goals and we’re looking forward to meeting you.

Early Financial Aid Estimates (Deadline: December 31)

  • There are two different ways to complete the estimate form. You may complete the form online and submit it electronically or you may print the form (96k PDF*) and mail in the completed form to the Office of Financial Aid.
  • Estimates are processed each year from September 1 through December 31.

How to Apply for Financial Aid

  • Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at www.fafsa.ed.gov by March 1st. Ohio Wesleyan's Title IV Code is 003109.

How to Apply for OWU Scholarships

  • However, a separate 2-page application (1012k PDF*) is required for the Meek Community Service and Leadership Award.
  • You should apply for admission by January 15 to assure you will be considered for all available merit scholarships.
  • Browse through merit award opportunities that are not based on financial need.
