The Humanities: Religion

I N RELIGION CLASSES, you’ll concentrate on the cultural and historical context of beliefs. Religion professors also teach the ancient languages of Hebrew, New Testament Greek, and Sanskrit. Most religion students double major in other studies that relate directly to their career plans, although approximately 15 percent of religion majors choose church-related professions.

Beyond-the-classroom opportunities: Independent study, directed reading, study abroad. Mission trip creation, fundraising, and service. Conferences. Campus Crusade for Christ, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Hillel, Newman Community, Tauheed, Young Life, Christian Student Movement, Theta Alpha Kappa (religion honorary society). Internships. The Philadelphia Center. Student board.
