The Natural Sciences: Zoology


V ERY FEW SMALL COLLEGES offer a major in zoology, but Ohio Wesleyan’s life science department system offers you a broad, deep curriculum and a chance to focus on the aspects of biology that most intrigue and delight you. You’ll learn in classes and seminars, but also in experimental labs and field sites—from the back yard to Costa Rica and the Galápagos. Departmental experts are eager to share their excitement about their areas of expertise; from your first day on campus, you’ll have limitless opportunities to work with them on original research. This major prepares you for vocations ranging from genetic engineer to zoo keeper to physician—and lots of careers in between.
