The Social Sciences: History

I F YOU CHOOSE TO MAJOR in history, you’ll be prepared for career advancement in fields such as law, education, publishing, journalism, government, and media. You’ll immerse yourself in the breadth and depth of historical knowledge, and you’ll learn the essential skills historians use—research, critical analysis, and logical presentation—while you also enjoy the intellectual advantages of a comprehensive liberal arts education.

Major: History, with course offerings in America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia

Minor: History

Beyond-the-classroom experiences: Independent research, directed readings, study abroad, internships, apprenticeships with The Historian (one of the most widely circulated scholarly historical journals published in the United States.). Wesleyan in Washington, The Philadelphia Center, Phi Alpha Theta (history honor society). Student board.
